Newspapers and media houses
Maps in Adobe Illustrator format in seconds! Kartagena enters the customer's graphic profile and desired level of detail. Hit based price model. Show location, coverage areas, plans, statistics and much more on the map! Much of the newspapers and scientific journals content has underlying geographic placements.
Real-estate agents
Maps for real-estate prospects. Rights for publication on paper and in Acrobat Reader format (pdf). Can be extended to include the internet.
Graphic Designers
Maps for graphic production to show location, coverage areas and road descriptions. The map's size, color and fonts can be adapted to fit the customer's needs and profile. Can be downloaded in Adobe Illustrator and EPS formats.
Map producers
Kartagena can load the customer's cartographic profile and selected files is extract to Adobe Illustrator. The raw data comes from Statens Kartverk and other sources. The data is countrywide and well suited for the production of amongst others semi-finished municipal, urban and county maps.
Publishers
full access to both extract and experiment with different maps as illustrations. Contracts will cover both test extractions and actual use in publications.

Main interface
- The maps are delivered in electronic form for insertion in publications and documents with tools like Word, Excel etc.
- The maps are delivered in various 'qualities'. This means you can select vector or raster format, and the resolutions. The service covers all of Norway down to street levels.
- The maps can be downloaded as high quality layered vector graphics for further editing in for example Adobe Illustrator.
- The maps can also be quickly published by downloaded them and weaving them directly into a word document or internet page without editing.

Rights
The rights for extracted data and materials is valid for the publication which is agreed upon. Agreements about the reuse and production of derived illustrations has to be negotiated separately.

Zoom
- Move the marker on the slider between street and nation on the left-hand side or click on the plus or minus sign on the slider
- Change the size of the frame in the overview map on the right-hand side
- Select the zoom tool and zoom in with the left mouse button, and out with the right button. Single clicks steps the map zoom, while dragging a frame zooms in on the content of the frame, or if you are zooming out it fills the frame with the map window content.
Pan
- Use the 8 buttons above the left slide to move the display frame in the right map window
Change size on the map window
- Click on the rightmost tool and select new height and width (in pixels/dots)

Go back to previous map view
- Select the large left arrow on the toolbar
- Go forwards again by clicking on the large right arrow on the toolbar
Export maps to the following formats
- PDF (Acrobat)
- AI (Adobe Illustrator – layered file)
- EPS (Encapsulated Postscript)
- EPS Without text
- PS (Postscript)
- PNG 72 dpi, 150 dpi and 300 dpi
- JPG 72 dpi and 170 dpi
Address search
Address searches is an tool for positioning the map around a fixed address or place name. Enter the information you have available, and PrintMap finds all addresses or place names which matches - even names that sounds like your search name.
